Vintage French Zinc Cockerel Weather Vane
This attractively weathered zinc cockerel stands proudly upon an orb, with a hollow brass tubular mounting below. At one time, its base (now absent) would have sat atop the ridge tile or turret of a French farmhouse or chateau.
Unlike many of its ilk, this example has escaped being used for target practice by mischievous locals, and its tough yet delicate casting remains in fine condition.
