World War II German MP40 Submachine Gun Magazine
Date stamped ’42’, denoting its year of manufacture as 1942, this genuine MP40 magazine comes with 10 x World War Two era, deactivated 9mm rounds.
The magazine’s pressed steel body is in overall excellent condition with only minor marks evident, and its loading spring remains smooth and strong. Known as the ‘Schmeisser’, after its designer Hugo Schmeisser, the MP40 was originally designed for use by paratroopers and mechanised infantry, who required an effective yet compact weapon. However, it ended up being used extensively by German forces of all types as the war progressed, and just over a million were manufactured between 1940 and 1945.
